If Yes had broken up after Relayer

They would have been considered one of the greatest bands ever. they
have been destroying their legacy with substandard albums ever
since...

Look at this... what would have happened if they broke up after
Relayer...

* Only 9 Yes men ever (Banks, Kaye, Bruford, Anderson, Squire, Howe,
Wakeman, White, Moraz)
* Only 8 Yes albums while the band was active of which all of them
could be considered classics except may be Time and A Word
- Yes
- Time and a Word
- The Yes Album
- Fragile
- Close To The Edge
- Yessongs
- Tales From Topographic Oceans
- Relayer
* They would have considered as a classic band that live short from
1969-74 but never really made a bad album.

We all know this is your opinion, you've said it a hundred times

you think Yes jumped the shark after Relayer. Fine! Mission

I don't think I have ever mentioned this topic before. This topic is
regarding whether Yes would have been considered one of the greatest
bands ever if they stopped with Relayer.

Raja I didn't remember that thread specifically either, I did a search
and that result was at the top of the list; but I certainly knew that
we are all well aware because you've mentioned it plenty of times that
Relayer was basically their last good album. If you've forgotten
having ever said this, take my word for it and let me assure you that
you don't need to tell us again. In fact let me be really helpful and
say that the same goes for all of your musical opinions and
observations, you have stated them all, over and over, multiple times
and there is no need to reiterate any of them ever again. You have
said everything you have to say, so I am pleased to inform you that
you don't need to waste any more of your precious time posting, you
can give it up and move on to other more enjoyable activities.

like who posted what thread in 2008. People have to be really jobless

Actually, I remember and still have a music magazine speculating that
they were splitting up after the solo records.

Or, maybe that was just the headline/cover copy to sell issues.

May be they should have... They might have gone on to have successful
solo careers if they didnt reform the band in 1976 for Going For The
One. The nude male on the cover signified the demise of their legacy.

If Yes had broken up after Relayer....
Then that would have been a time when I actually cared.
35 years later, not so much...
Beatles broke up in 1970 and you still care.
And I think that says something about the relative merits of the two
bands.

I'm not the one obsessing about a band that became irrelevant 35 years
ago.

They would have been considered one of the greatest bands ever. they
have been destroying their legacy with substandard albums ever
since...
Look at this... what would have happened if they broke up after
Relayer...
* Only 9 Yes men ever (Banks, Kaye, Bruford, Anderson, Squire, Howe,
Wakeman, White, Moraz)
* Only 8 Yes albums while the band was active of which all of them
could be considered classics except may be Time and A Word
   - Yes
   - Time and a Word
   - The Yes Album
   - Fragile
   - Close To The Edge
   - Yessongs
   - Tales From Topographic Oceans
   -  Relayer
* They would have considered as a classic band that live short from
1969-74 but never really made a bad album.
Discuss...
The only good album was "Fragile" and that was one too many.
A few other bands better than Yes other than The Beatles:
The Doors
Grand Funk
Mott the Hoople
CCR
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Monkees
The Partridge Family
The Brady Bunch
Sanford and Son
The Ropers
Ginger, Mary Ann and Mrs. Howell
Ralph and Norton, when drunk on wine (grape juice)
who?

Yes
Post Punk Aussie band 1987-1989
1 EP- Self tilted- 1988
2 LP's -
"Glory For The Shit For Brains"-1987
"Once We Were Scum, Now We Are God"-1989
Thinking this was a trick question, I looked it up and I'd be damned
there was one.
